Optimal antenna pattern synthesis of spaceborne SAR based on AGASA

摘要

A method of optimal antenna pattern synthesis of spaceborne synthetic aperture radar (SAR) based on adaptive genetic algorithm and simulated annealing (AGASA) is presented. The antenna radiation pattern plays an important role in the performance of the spaceborne SAR. High sidelobe level in the antenna pattern leads to high ambiguity-to-signal ratio (ASR), which degrades the quality of the SAR image. Optimizing antenna radiation pattern can depress ambiguous signals, thus improve the image quality and relax the parameter selection of pulse repetition frequency (PRF) simultaneously. The proposed method has the ability of global search and overcomes the weakness of premature convergence, which is better suited for antenna synthesis than the conventional antenna synthesis methods. Simulations show the efficiency and validity of the proposed method.
