On the dynamics of Na cluster for different geometry

摘要

Using distance dependent tight-binding molecular dynamics model (DDTB-MD), the processes of Na6 (2D), Na6 (3D) colliding with Na 8 have been studied at the different incident energies and different impact parameters. Different reaction mechanisms have been observed, such as fusion reaction, deep inelastic collision and quasielastic collision, which are similar to the nuclear heavy-ion collisions. It shows that clusters with different geometric structure colliding with same cluster can produce different clusters. At lower incident energy central collision, Na6 (3D) is feasible to form a stable cluster, at leV/n half central collision; Na 6 (3D) is in favor to forming a larger cluster.
