Numerical simulation for response of earth projectile penetrating into multilayer geo-targets

摘要

The numerical simulation is a main way for predicting and understanding the response of earth penetrator to geo-targets. By using dynamic analysis software LS-DYNA, a model for the earth projectile penetrating into multilayer geo-targets which consist of compact soil, discrete stone, sand and reinforced concrete layers was established; the discrete stone layer composed of brick-shaped stones and clay was modeled by using a method of element material property assigned stochastically. The simulation results show that the acceleration response of projectile penetrating into target is reasonable and can be used as input loading to analyze the structural dynamic response of the key parts in projectile.
