Numerical simulation for influence of fuel droplets on gas-drop two phase detonation

摘要

By establishing a two-dimensional theoretical model for gas-drop two-phase detonation, the propagation of the detonation in the open field is simulated by using TVD and MacCormack methods. The influences of the concentration of liquid phase, radius of drop, vaporization and shattering on the detonation are analyzed. It is found that the detonation pressure and velocity increase with the droplet concentration; the ground reflection will affect the development of the detonation; the pressure and velocity will tend to the same at different height due to Mach effect. It is also found that the droplet size will influence the detonation status; if the droplet radius is larger than 75 μm, the detonation pressure will decrease with increase of the radius, but it will be opposite for the radius less than 75 μm. Analyzing the effect of vaporization of shattering, the calculation results show that this phenomenon probably exists when the shattering of the drop controls the process of the two-phase detonation.
