摘要
A novel millimeter-wave traveling-wave microstrip comb-line antenna with cosecant-squared pattern has been developed by employing elements that possess low cross polarization and a large tuning range of radiation power simultaneously. Simulated results show that the 16-element comb-line antenna provides an impedance bandwidth (S11 < -10 dB) from 76.5 GHz to 81.4 GHz and realized gain of 13.3 dBi at the center frequency 80GHz. The radiation pattern agrees with the desired cosecant-squared curve very well. To the best of the authors' knowledge, the proposed antenna is the first single comb-line antenna that is able to yield a cosecant-squared pattern.
