摘要
The catalyst enhanced two-layer porous media burner was designed, which was comprised of Al2O3 pellets of different diameters, and the partial oxidation reforming of methane in the burner was studied with and without catalyst. The stability limits of the operation conditions were tested with various inlet gas velocity and equivalence ratio. The effects of inlet gas velocity and equivalence ratio on temperature distribution, flame composition and conversion efficiency were studied. The results show that the conversion ratio can reach 43.5% when the inlet gas velocity is 0.15 m/s and the equivalence ratio is 1.6 with the downstream layer all loaded with Ni.
