Mechanical characteristics of the braking cylindrical shells of missile ejector under axial compression

摘要

For the linear thickness braking cylindrical shells, a concept of equivalent thickness is given. Based on the energy equivalent method of subsections, a mechanical model of linear thickness braking cylindrical shells has been arrived, taking into account the strain hardening of structural material. The deformation and mechanical characteristics of the braking cylindrical shells of missile ejector under axial compression are studied using theoretical analysis, FEM and experimentation. The results by the three methods are essentially identical. The theoretical model of linear thickness braking cylindrical shells can be used in the engineering design and mechanical forecasting of the braking cylindrical shells and in the launching dynamic analysis of the weapon system.
