abstract = "In this paper, we propose a simplified nonlinear Volterra algorithm with feed-forward equalizer and decision feedback equalizer for 40Gb/s PAM4 transmission with 10G-class devices in next-generation access network. Results show that the simplified Volterra algorithm significantly reduced algorithm complexity compared with traditional Volterra algorithm. Moreover, we achieve similar performance optimization using simplified Volterra algorithm and traditional Volterra algorithm, respectively.",
