Information visualization and interaction design of mobile augmented reality browser

摘要

In order to explore methods for addressing human factors issues in augmented reality (AR) browser, a novel design flow is proposed through the analysis of human factors issues in mobile AR environment, and its effectiveness is proved via an actual design. First, the user requirements of a mobile AR browser is extracted and transformed into user tasks. Then the abstracted information is visualized as a data view, and the visual elements that make up the view are laid out using the overview-and-detail method. Following this, the discrete data view is organized using the incremental interactive method, and the interactive interface is generated. Finally, the design errors found in the process of evaluation are resolved through the prototype iterations. It is shown from the results of usability testing that the interactive AR system built with the proposed design flow not only enhances the user's cognition to the target, but also improves the user experience.
