title = "Influence of topological constraints on differentiation and alignment of multinucleated myotubes",
abstract = "Due to the sensitivity to the microenvironment, stem cell-like primary muscle cells have been left behind despite their great potential in medication and tissue engineering. In this study, we successfully manipulated and maintained primary muscle cells, skeletal muscle progenitor cells (SMPs), in in vitro microfluidic models to investigate the maturity of multinucleated myotubes and the effect of topological constraints on morphology of the cells during growing and differentiating. The investigation reveals that narrower arrangement of the constraints more effectively guides the alignment of the cells, while wider arrangement of dashed wall constraints more influences the maturation of the cells.",
