摘要
It is well known that the fuzzy concept has not been well recognized since Prof. Zadeh's original paper 'fuzzy sets' in 1965. In 1980's Japanese company engineers have started their works in the field of fuzzy control applications and finally established so called fuzzy vogue in Japan twice, i.e., process control in 1987 and home electronics applications in 1990. This article makes clear the background of such Japanese fuzzy environment and introduces various industrial educational tools on fuzzy systems in Japan that promoted that R&D in fuzzy applications.
