Hybrid algorithm for the MLFMA-enhanced finite-element boundary-integral method

摘要

A hybrid algorithm, combining the direct method and the iterative method, is presented for solving the finite-element boundary-integral matrix equation. The algorithm can take full advantage of the multilevel fast multipole algorithm and greatly speed up the rate of convergence. Numerical experiments for a coated Northrop wing confirm that the hybrid algorithm has a significantly faster rate of convergence, and has a much higher efficiency than the direct algorithm.
