High accuracy signal simulation of SSBSAR system with navigation satellite

摘要

The global positioning system (GPS) has been considered as new roles in estimating geophysical parameters of ocean and terrene. The measurement technique is called Space-Surface Bistatic Synthetic Aperture Radar (SSBSAR) system with navigation satellite. In traditional Bistatic SAR (BSAR), the time delay of reflected signal is generated by the shift of transmitted signal copy, and the phase delay is generated by multiplying the target Doppler phase (slant history). However in SSBSAR based on navigation satellite, the traditional method is invalid because of continuous wave (CW) coded signal form and low intermediate frequency sampling frequency. In this paper, we use the receiving-oriented method to achieve the high accuracy time delay of reflection signal and combine Doppler phase and variable phase caused by instantaneous frequency to achieve the high accuracy phase delay of reflection signal. Then, high accuracy reflected signal can be simulated. The accuracy of the simulation is demonstrated by comparing the simulated result with theoretical calculation and application for surface targets are also presented.
