摘要
A type of wideband cylindrically conformal microstrip antenna is presented. We use the stacked structure to extend the impedance bandwidth of the antenna. The inductive effect of the feeding probe due to the thick dielectric substrate is compensated through adding a small capacitive patch so that the bandwidth is further broadened. Full-wave analysis of this antenna is implemented based on the method that combines the conformal FDTD method and the dyadic Green's functions for cylindrically stratified media. A systematic scheme is outlined to simplify the design procedure. The results of design and computer simulation demonstrate that about 30% or more impedance bandwidth (VSWR≤2.0) of the antenna operating at L and C band can be achieved without increasing the thickness of the profile.
