Fragment behavior of concrete slab subjected to blast loading

摘要

In this study, concrete slabs subjected to blast loading with 1.5 kg explosive B at different stand-off distances were investigated to study the fragment behavior of concrete slabs. Furthermore, the particle size of the concrete fragments after the explosion was measured. The erosion criterion of coupling tensile damage and the maximum principal strain was introduced to calculate the fragment behavior of a concrete slab subjected to blast loading. The validity of the numerical calculation model was verified by comparison with the experimental data. Moreover, the concrete slab fragment behavior with different charge masses and stand-off distances was analyzed. Finally, a fragment model of the shock wave over-pressure peak, shock wave energy, charge mass, and stand-off distance under blast loading was established. This model can predict the fragment degree of a concrete slab subjected to blast loading by considering the over-pressure peak and energy of the shock wave as criteria.
