摘要
The fracture behavior of the Zr-based bulk amorphous alloy under high-speed impact at room temperature was investigated by self-made high-speed impact device (strain rate ε̇ exceeds 10 4 s -1), and was contrasted with that under impact of ε̇ about 10 2~10 3 s -1. The failure surfaces were examined by scanning electron microscopy (SEM). It is found that the typical fracture morphologies of the amorphous alloy are honeycomb-like pattern, cell-like pattern, vein-like pattern, melted belts and liquid-like droplets. Compared to that under impact of ε̇ about 10 2~10 3 s -1, the fracture surfaces under high-speed impact are relatively rough, the array of vein patterns is relatively disorder, the reduction of the viscosity in major shear band is greater, the melted belts and liquid-like droplets are larger. Also, there are amorphous particles in the honeycomb-like pattern beside micro holes and cracks.
