N2 - This paper is concerned with the research on fault tolerant control (FTC) of networked control system (NCS) with fixed data packet loss rate (PLR). A synthetic model of the whole closed-loop is presented which includes time delay, packet loss of NCS and the working condition of sensors and actuators. The time delay is supposed to be shorter than sampling period and packet loss to be random but the packet loss rate is fixed. The fault of sensors and actuators are described by random variables. A sufficient stability condition in the meaning square sense is gained by constructing a useful Lyapunov function. The fault tolerant control algorithm is achieved from the stability condition. The system designed above can work effectively when sensors and actuators in normal condition and can keep stability when some sensors or actuators are in failure. A simulation example is finally given to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed method.
