摘要
The cloudy cavitating around a hydronautics foil has been experimentally studied by means of high-speed fluid visualization and DPIV. The research summarized in terms of the following results: the cloudy cavitation motion around the hydronautics foil is periodical and the shedding frenquence is about 74 ms under the experimental condition. The first cavity on the front of foil is stable. When the developing cloudy cavitation cover the whole section surface of the foil a shear layer flow with larger vorticity is observed. The velocity of the cavitating vortical area is lower than the mainflow. In addition, DPIV is valid for the velocity measurement of cavitating flows.
