Element analysis of flow rate of Berea sandstone perforation tunnel

摘要

Study the effect of damage zone on the flow rate of perforation tunnel and other flow rates is important to the increase in perforation efficiency. The flow rate of Berea sandstone tunnel was numerically simulated by using ANSYS. The calculated result is in good agreement with the experimental result. The pressure, radial velocity and axial velocity distributions of radial flow and axial flow were obtained both on non-damage Berea sandstone and on damage zone. The result shows that the flow rate of perforation tunnel was affected by perforation depth, perforation diameter, decrease in permeability, the thickness of damage zone, and differential pressure, etc. The analysis result shows that the perforation depth has the most effect on flow rate. The flow rate is dependent on original permeability while the thickness of damage zone, decreasing degree of permeability and the perforation depth were almost close to each other.
