摘要

Tungsten heavy alloy (WHA) containing 90%-97% W two-phase composites possesses high density and strength and relatively high ductility. The microstructure and mechanical properties has a remarkable effect on the adiabatic shearing sensitivity of the WHA. The former researches were reviewed. The results show that the relative intensity of tungsten heavy alloy is improved with varying tungsten particles figure. The higher the fibre degree is, the more obvious the crystal anisotropy is, and the easier advent the adiabatic shearing is in the model of drawing, extrusion, radial smithing. Tungsten particles become ellipse after torsion. Adiabatic shearing is easily formed and self-sharpness in evidence and capability of penetration is stronger when the elongated axial orientation consistent with orientation of the strongest shearing stress. The deformation mode, deformation quantity and crystal tropism will be helpful to understanding the mechanism of adiabatic shearing of the materials.
