摘要
The effect of airflow on the radiation characteristics of negative corona discharge was researched. The experiments were performed using three kinds of needle-ring discharge configurations in the high-speed airflow environment created by an air amplifier. The Trichel pulse waveform and radiation signal received by antenna were collected simultaneously. From the computation of smoothed pseudo Wigner-Ville distribution, it is found that the velocity and direction of airflow have a significant impact on the Trichel pulse period. When the direction of airflow is in parallel with the electric field, the Trichel pulse period increases; when the airflow is in the opposite direction of the electric field, the Trichel pulse period obviously shortens; and when the airflow is vertical to the electric field, the pulse period slightly shortens. The results show that the change of airflow has a less effect on the radiation spectrum of discharge which radiation energy is concentrated in 200 MHz.
