摘要
The mechanical behavior and fracture characteristics of Zr47Ti45Al4.5V3 Alloys at room temperature were studied by use of Hopkinson torsion bar for pure torsion loading. The dynamic shear stress-strain curves at different strain rates were obtained. It was discovered that the shear strength would decrease slightly with the increase in strain rate, but didn't change significantly in the studied range of strain rate. The cross-section morphology is composed mainly of dimple-like pattern and high-temperature slip bands through the SEM analysis and cross-section observation. Ti-Zr alloys appear as brittle shear fracture mode under the condition of dynamic torsional loading.
