摘要
Dynamic compression properties of the modified rhombic dodecahedron (RD) lattice structures were investigated by using a Split Hopkinson Pressure Bar (SHPB) system. All the deformation processes were recorded and a digital image correlation (DIC) technique was employed to analyse the strain distribution during the compression process. Experimental results indicated that the modified lattice structure showed better compressive strength, plateau stress and energy absorption when compared with the original one under both quasi-static and dynamic loading conditions. The effect of the shape parameter on the deformation mechanisms of the RD lattice structure was discussed, where three different deformation modes were observed. Finite element analysis was also conducted to simulate the dynamic response of the modified lattice structure. The finite element results are in good agreement with the experimental results. Then, a mode classification map was plotted and discussed based on the numerical results.
