Design of Overlapping Coil Magnetic Coupler for DWPT System Output Power Fluctuation Mitigation

摘要

There is no doubt that dynamic wireless power transfer technology is an effective measure to solve the range anxiety of electric vehicles, which greatly improves the user's traveling convenience. In this paper, based on the arrayed transmitter coils, a design method of an overlapping multi-transmitter-single-receiver (MTSR) magnetic coupler is proposed. First, a dual-transmitter-single-receiver (DTSR) system in LCC-S topology is used to equivalently analyze the MTSR system and derive the system output power expression. Then the magnetic coupler is simulated in Ansys Maxwell and its mutual inductance expression is fitted, the transmitter coil evaluation factor is proposed, and the optimal coil spacing that minimizes the output mutual inductance fluctuation is obtained and further verified in Ansys Maxwell.
