摘要
The Fabry-Perot etalon is widely used in the area of optical fiber communication and optical fiber sensing. A glass gap F-P etalon lacks high stability due to its high coefficient of thermal expansion. Two pieces of glasses with low thermal-expansion coefficient are employed in an air gap etalon to improve high temperature stability. The design and manufacture of the optical fiber F-P etalon is demonstrated. Experimental results show that the FSR(Free Spectral Range) is 100GHz, the loss is 3dB and the temperature drift is less than 3GHz from 0~70℃. Compared with the devices made by traditional methods, the present one is more stable and free of large variation of the refractive index and the thermal expansion.
