N2 - The existing sniper detectors are all too large to be used conveniently. A type of tiny opto-electronic detector is designed to solve the problem. The processing circuit is based on System on a Programmable Chip (SoPC), and is optimized directing at volume and power dissipation. The weight of the whole detector is less than 1kg, and the power dissipation is less than 5W, so the detector can be mounted on the sniper rifle. It can be used to collimation and detect sniper at day and night. The maximum detecting distance is further than 1km. After detected enemy sniper, the soldier can fire at once, so the practicability of the opto-electronic detector is enhanced.
