Cutting Paths Simulation Analysis of Aluminum Alloy Plates Based on Stress Rebalance

摘要

In this paper, aiming at the deformation of aluminum alloy plate caused by stress rebalance, heat treatment on the plate is simulated and the distribution of initial stress in the plate is gotten. And cutting process is simulated through finite element analysis software AdvantEdge. The residual stresses introduced into the plate during the cutting process are obtained. Then the technique of birth and death of element was used in Abaqus, the material removal process in different cutting paths is simulated under heat treatment. At the same time, the resulting cutting stress is applied to the machined surface, and the flatness and residual stress of the machined surface are compared. The results show that, compared with the linear parallel cutting, the spiral cutting from center to periphery makes the parts have higher accuracy and smaller residual stress.
