Current developments of CMOS image sensors

With the development of VLSI, CMOS image sensor has been developed increasingly. The history of CMOS image sensor has been introduced on the basis of analyzing the principle of CCD and CMOS image sensor, and the advantages of CMOS image sensor have been summarized. The current research status and commercial productions of different companies have been described, moreover, the technical specifications have been presented. At last, the future development trends of CMOS image sensor have been forecasted.
