N2 - Cyber Physical Systems (CPS) represent an evolution in computerized interconnectivity. It integrates the dynamics of the physical processes with those of the software and communication, providing abstractions and modeling, design, and analysis techniques for the integrated whole. It has become the new research focus for worldwide industry, academia, and government agencies. CPS faces many challenges, including CPS-specific ones such as privacy, participatory sensing, data analytics, GIS-based visualization, cloud computing, and those standard WSN challenges, e.g., architecture, energy efficiency, security, protocols, and quality of service. To deal with these challenges, in this book, we analyze CPS in detail from different aspects, including its architectures, protocols, and applications.
