N2 - I/Q signal processing is widely used in radio receivers such as zero-IF and low-IF receivers for digital communications and spectrum monitoring and so on. However, all of these receivers share the common problem of the imbalance (or mismatch) on the amplitude and phases of the I and Q branches, which is unavoidable in the analog front-end of those receivers. In this paper, we propose a simplified blind source separation method based on the famous EASI algorithm and apply it to the compensation of I/Q imbalance. Performance of the proposed method is simulated and analyzed. The results show that it has stable tracking ability and satisfactory convergence speed.
