title = "Comparative study of preconditioners for the FFT-JVIE solution of highly inhomogeneous dielectric objects",
abstract = "It was recently reported that the volume integral equation formulation based on equivalent volumetric currents (JVIE) can be a suitable choice to solve the dynamic electromagnetic scattering from highly inhomogeneous objects. This work presents a comparative study of some relatively cheap preconditioning strategies numerically in terms of the Generalized Minimum Residual (GMRES) iterative solver. The numerical experiments on a human head model show that different preconditioners behavior differently in improving the convergence.",
