abstract = "This article proposes a design of a slot coupled patch antenna for C-band multi-polarized substrate integrated waveguide (SIW). By controlling and switching the feeding excitation of the corresponding ports, four polarization states of the antenna can be achieved. The antenna has a wide impedance and axial ratio (AR) bandwidth, and for the four polarization states, the -10 dB impedance bandwidth is better than 20.2% (4.64G-5.65 GHz). For both LHCP and RHCP, the measured AR bandwidth is above 4.5G to 5.6GHz. For vertical linear polarization (VLP) and horizontal linear polarization (HLP), they can also be flexibly reconfigured by dynamically switching the excitation of the corresponding ports. This new type of antenna has good radiation performance and the ability to achieve multi-polarization.",
