Area traffic signal optimization based on adaptive PSO with mutation

摘要

An Adaptive Particle Swarm Optimization (Adaptive PSO) algorithm is presented for traffic signal timing optimization. PSO is used in this paper as a search tool to find the optimal time allocation schemes for phase signal of intersections. Experiment results show that the algorithm proposed in this paper can achieve better optimization effect than Genetic Algorithm.
