N2 - With the widespread application of automotive radar, the likelihood of inter-radar interference has significantly increased, especially in complex urban environments. Utilizing advanced waveforms is crucial for radar anti-interference. This paper investigates the anti-interference capabilities of automotive radar using the Random Stepped-Frequency (RSF) waveform. Initially, we analyze automotive radar interference under traditional Frequency Modulated Continuous Wave (FMCW). Subsequently, we explore the anti-interference principle of the RSF waveform by deriving its signal model. Finally, numerous experiments are conducted to demonstrate the superior anti-interference performance of the RSF waveform. The results indicated that the RSF waveform markedly reduces radar signal collision probability in both time and frequency domains, thereby reducing the interference probability of radar.
