Analysis of ocean clutter for wide-band radar based on real data

摘要

There are many literatures on the theory of the ocean clutter, but there have not been any study about that of the stepped frequency chirp radar. Based on the analysis of the clutter distribution fitting and KS distribution test method, the ocean clutter data from stepped frequency modulated radar are chosen to be processed and analyzed. The different fitting PDFs are accomplished such as Rayleigh, Lognormal, Weibull and K distribution. Then the KS method is employed to test the clutter distribution for the different data from different rings including the pulse suppression data and its synthetic wide-band high-resolution result. The test results showed that the clutter distribution from the different ranges is different, and the distribution of the pulse suppression result is also different from its coherent integration result, although they are deduced from the same data. At last, the stability of the clutter distribution is analyzed. The study would contribute to designing radar filter and increasing the ability of suppressing ocean clutter of radar itself.
