N2 - In this paper, the effect of incident field polarization is analyzed, which is very important to an inverse scattering imaging algorithm for metal objects. In the imaging algorithm, the inverse scattering problem is converted to the inverse source problem according to the Equivalence Principle. The equivalent surface currents are considered to be numerous dipole moments, which is, namely, Discrete Dipole Approximation (DDA). And the inverse problem is solved by using Tikhonov Regularization. The simulation results indicate that a circularly polarized wave is superior for better imaging results.
