摘要
Ventilation cavitation flow around a disc cavitator and its drag characteristics were experimentally studied by applying the combinant technologies of high speed visualization and strain-electronic measuring technology. The effects of ventilation on cavitation flow and drag are discussed systematically. The results show that there are three phases of incipient cavitation, band cavitation and grouping cavitation in ventilation cavitating flow regimes, and the drag coefficient of the disc cavitator decreases significantly with the increase of Reynolds number. Before the cavitation appears, the effect of drag reduce is obvious. With the increase of the ventilation, the transparent super-cavitation appears in ventilation cavitation flow around a disc cavitator, and the drag coefficient increases gradually. The increasing gradients are consistent with the increase of the ventilation.
