An electro-thermal model for Li-ion battery under different temperatures

摘要

Lithium ion battery receives a great concern for the researchers all over the world. An electro-thermal model that can simultaneously predict the voltage and temperature of the lithium ion battery is critical for a good battery system design. In this paper, an electro-thermal model has been built using the famous Dualfoil model with addition of thermal effects. Multiple experiments were conducted to validate the capability of the electro-thermal model at variant temperatures and different current rates. The built electro-thermal model can predict the voltage response well under variant working conditions. However, the temperature prediction of the electro-thermal model needs further improvement.
