N2 - Ambiguities is a key performance in Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) images, which should be suppressed to a low level in an SAR system design. However, the Ambiguities do not lie in the two main lobes of the antenna in high squint mode SAR. Consequently, traditional Ambiguity analysis method becomes inaccurate. This paper firstly analyzes the non-coincidence between the azimuth (range) Ambiguities locations and the two main lobes of antenna. Then, accurate Ambiguities performance for high squint mode space-borne SAR is deviated based on vector analysis, considering earth rotation and elliptical orbit effects. The cross-Term Ambiguities deterioratesharply.
