N2 - Many geo-steering techniques focus on the real-time application of geological evaluation data and do not take full advantage of the spatial information of seismic data. The real-time steering technique for horizontal drilling proposed in this paper is based on high-precision 3-D seismic data, and carries out the real-time steering work of target-entering and horizontal section drilling to improve the target-entering accuracy and oil reservoir discovery rate. Through field application of the steering technique on horizontal wells, the target-entering accuracy and oil reservoir discovery rate of channel reservoirs have been greatly improved. This is evidence that this technique is useful in improving the efficiency and success rate of horizontal drilling.
