N2 - At present, obtaining dynamic measurement data for swarm targets is both challenging and expensive. To address this issue, we propose a rapid computation method for evaluating the scattering characteristics of swarm targets. This method is based on the multilevel fast multipole algorithm (MLFMA) and utilizes the box partition data and corresponding data structure of sub-targets within the swarm target, as well as matching the induced current iteration among sub-targets. Verification results indicate that the scattering characteristics computed using the proposed algorithm are in close agreement with those derived from the MLFMA. However, our method offers significant improvements in terms of computation time and memory consumption. Consequently, this approach offers innovative technical support for generating swarm target characteristic data.
