A Pseudo-Code-Aided Bit Synchronization Method for THz Communication System

摘要

W363 introduce a pilot-aided bit synchronization method for the THz communication system in inter-satellite transmission links. By adding low-power low-speed pseudo-code pilot, which has good correlation property and robust noise resistance, to the high-speed data signal, we can easily extract the bit offset information through processing the low-speed pilot. Compared to the Gardner method, the proposed method reduces the computational complexity significantly, ensures a sufficiently large estimation range of the bit offset and almost makes no change on the BER performance. Besides, the proposed method has a gain in the ratio between the one-bit energy and the equivalent noise power density by 17dB when the pilot power is lower than the data signal power of 43dB.
