N2 - This paper proposes a new reliability analysis method for vehicle control systems with three-state electronic units based on GO method. First, the new GO operators are created to describe the three-state electronic units in terms of their data, type and operation formulas. And, the reliability analysis process of the new GO method is formulated. Then, the main circuit of Digital Electric Drive System for an armored vehicle is taken as an example to conduct dynamic reliability analysis and qualitative analysis by the new GO method. Finally, in order to verify the feasibility, reasonability and advantage of the new GO method, its analysis result are compared with the results by the existing GO method for vehicle control systems with two-state electronic units and Monte-Carlo Simulation. All in all, this study not only improves the theory of GO methodology; but also provides a new reliability analysis approach for systems with three-state electronic units.
