A Microfluidic chip for monoclonal antibody functional screening

摘要

Monoclonal antibodies, secreted by a single clone of B cells, possess excellent specificity and high sensitivity. Due to their outstanding advantages, the monoclonal antibody market is overgrowing. Currently, the preparation of monoclonal antibodies mainly relies on hybridoma technology, which preserves the biological activity and increases the antibody yield. However, the time-consuming cell screening and low throughput in hybridoma technology greatly limit the antibody screening process. In this study, a microfluidic chip for antibody functional screening was developed by combining hybridoma technology with single-cell technology. The microarraybased approach significantly improved the screening throughput and reduced the screening time.
