abstract = "A constant flow air sampler with closed-loop control is designed to increase the accuracy of pollutant detection. Orifice plate and differential pressure sensor are used as the flow measurement device instead of float flow meter. To improve the adaptability of the air sampler to various flow rates and collection devices, the air sampler is equipped with an interval type-2 fuzzy PID controller. The simulation results show that in comparison to fuzzy PID controller and PID controller, the interval type-2 fuzzy PID controller performs better. The experiments on the real air sampler system show that the interval type-2 fuzzy PID controller has better performance under different flow rates and different loads than traditional PID controller.",
