N2 - In order to meet the needs of on-site "condition-based repair" of compensation capacitor in railway jointless track circuit, based on the electromagnetic field theory, this paper established and verified the finite element model of the detection process of the compensation capacitance of the detection vehicle. On this basis, an analysis was made on the influence of compensation capacitance, rail impedance and ballast resistance on the amplitude envelope of feedback signal in the receiving antenna of the inspection vehicle. The regression model among compensation capacitance, rail inductance and peak value of amplitude envelope of feedback signal was established. According to the fault diagnosis characteristics of the compensation capacitance of the inspection vehicle, a regression estimation method of rail inductance based on the inspection vehicle data was proposed, based on which, the estimation formula of the compensation capacitance value was given. The experiments show that this method, with the characteristics of accurate estimation and strong robustness, provides theoretical support for further fault prediction and "condition-based repair" of compensation capacitor.
