摘要

Aiming at the design problem of conceptual model for multi-scale configuration of Reconfigurable Manufacturing System (RMS), a configuration design method based on Living System Theory (LST) was proposed. The RMS configuration design process was analyzed from the scale of manufacturing system, manufacturing cell and machine tool deeply, and a multi-scale configuration model of RMS was constructed. LST was used to decompose and represent RMS multi-scale configuration conceptual model, and a universal RMS multi-scale configuration conceptual model was built based on the 20 critical subsystem of LST. During RMS configuration design process, the universal conceptual model was reused through the operations of adding, deleting or replacing, to deal with the order fluctuation and improve RMS reconfiguration efficiency. A case was studied to elaborate the implementation of the presented method and to validate the effectiveness and practicability.
