Abstract
A novel method for multiplexing intensity-type fiber-optic sensors using wavelength division multiplexing (WDM) and spatial division multiplexing (SDM) is proposed and demonstrated, A variation of ± 0.2 dB at a loss of - 10.95 dB is obtained, which is comparable with that obtained by the traditional method. The experimental results show that the sensor at the up-leading fiber has no influence on the sensor at the down-leading fiber..
