Abstract

Based on the static performance of thermal imaging systems, a mathematical model for the visual range prediction adapted for extended source target is studied. This paper gives a method of treatment for the problem using computer simulation, and a computer program has been complied. The results shows that the model given in the paper is practicable and feasible, and the visual range prediction given for the extended source target is in concordance with the test results.
