Abstract

According to workshop production requirements and development of virtual assembly technology, a virtual assembly technology integrating assembly precision, physical attributes, cable harness & tube assembly simulation was put forward. Various problems might occur in assembly process were simulated from perspectives of process, precision and physical attributes so as to provide effective methods for scientific product assembly and assembly quality prediction. Workflow of this method was introduced. Key technologies were discussed, including assembly precision pre-analysis technology, physical attributes-based virtual assembly technology, flexible cable harness & pipe modeling and assembly simulation technology under virtual environment. Finally, validity of the proposed technology was verified by simulation experiment.
